TPEC researchers disseminate their findings in research reports, white papers, and journal articles. The TPEC team also produces research briefs that translate findings into easily accessible material and summaries of major events. All materials are available through this website—tpec.umn.edu.

Story Maps

TPEC researchers created three story maps to provide insights into freight supply chains. Story maps use narrative text and other multimedia content to add context to maps.

The Greater Minnesota Medical Device Cluster Study (2024) shows the location and density of medical device companies, linked companies, and hospitals and clinics.

Amber Roads of Grain (2016) unveils how technological, political, and market shifts in the grain supply chain impact the way local producers and wholesalers navigate their local freight networks—a network that spans road, rail, and barge infrastructure.

The Global Airfreight Networks and Regional Competitiveness StoryMap displays findings from the modeling of Minnesota's evolving medical supply chain. Airfreight is an important factor that contributes to the success and future of the medical device industry, and the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport is a dominant force in medical commodities.

Video showcases TPEC accomplishments

A video produced in 2018—TPEC Program: A Foundation for Analysis and Decision Making—shares accomplishments and highlights of the program’s early years. It features interviews with TPEC researchers, a MnDOT district engineer, and the chair of the TPEC Self-Driving Vehicle Task Force.
