Lee Munnich was the founding director of TPEC and a senior fellow at the Humphrey School of Public Affairs. His research focused on transportation policy and finance, congestion pricing, rural road safety, regional economic development, and industry clusters.
In his long and distinguished career, Munnich had extensive experience with state and local governments. He was a founder of the Mileage-based User Fee Alliance, a deputy commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Trade and Economic Development, and executive director of the Minnesota Tax Study Commission.
