Rigorous academic research forms the backbone of the Program, with projects addressing the following areas.
Research Areas
In addition to academic research, the program includes other activities that support the research program:
- Amber Waves of Grain, a story map that illustrates Minnesota's evolving grain supply chain and its impact on local roads.
- A cluster tool—www.clustermapping.us—that plots data about types of industries on a map.
- The Minnesota Transportation Finance Database—a longitudinal and spatially integrated database for Minnesota transportation finance, beginning in 1980 and updated annually.
- Self-Driving Vehicles: Current Status of Autonomous Vehicle Development and Minnesota Policy Implications, Minnesota Journal of Law, Science & Technology, 2015.
