Mark Schoenfelder currently serves as the transportation district engineer for MnDOT District 6 in Rochester. He has been with MnDOT for more than 20 years, holding a variety of leadership and technical roles. His past positions include Assistant District Engineer for Program Delivery in District 6, Director of Building Services in the Office of Maintenance at MnDOT’s Central Office in St. Paul, and Planning Director, along with other professional and technical roles in the District 6 Right of Way and Survey areas.
Prior to joining MnDOT, Mark spent several years in the private sector focusing on client development, project management, site and facility development, and design.
In addition to his extensive experience, Mark brings strong leadership skills and long-standing relationships within the District 6 communities. He is a registered professional engineer and professional land surveyor and holds an MS degree in Infrastructure Systems Engineering from the University of Minnesota.
Mark and his wife, Rachel, live near Red Wing, MN, with their family.
